In the mid-19th century, the Bergman family started fishing from Rån in Hamrångefjärden. At that time, we took our livestock out to the island of Dödmansskär, where we lived during the summer months, to fish. The fish was then sailed to Gävle to be sold at the local fish market.
Today, our family business Bergmans Fisk is in its seventh generation of skilled fishermen who conduct artisanal and sustainable quality fishing along the Gävle coast.

From the depths of the sea to award-winning fish dishes on the table – Bergmans Fisk ensures the entire process with the best artisans in fish. From the experienced fisherman on Bergmans boats, where only the best fish are selected, to the processing. There we smoke and marinate the products in a traditional way without chemicals.
All fish is deboned and processed by hand. Using traditional techniques that have been optimized over generations, we guarantee superior quality and taste. To maintain freshness and our award-winning taste, we use the latest technology in f-vacuum packaging.
